"Magi" by Kate Dardine (sold)

Today's painting is a commissioned piece. The client wanted something depicting her mare and foal. Since I was painting this over Christmas, thoughts of the birth of Christ were in my mind. And then when three crows showed up in the painting, I knew they were the Magi, come to give gifts to the newborn.
